Just nine years later, in 1955, they staged their first modest public show at a local elementary school. What started as a local gathering quickly captured the imagination of collectors nationwide, becoming so popular that it moved to larger venues and eventually to the Tucson Convention Center in 1972, where it continues to flourish today.
