Tucson Folk Festival

The Tucson Folk Festival has earned its place as Arizona's largest free-to-the-public music festival and one of the country's most respected folk music celebrations. Since 1986, more than 300 volunteer musicians, tradition bearers, and music enthusiasts have gathered each spring in Downtown Tucson at Jácome Plaza for three days of live music, community building, and cultural celebration. This commitment to accessibility and community has made the festival a beloved tradition that welcomes everyone — from longtime folk music devotees to first-time listeners discovering the genre's rich traditions.

The festival features six outdoor stages with performances scheduled from morning into the evening, creating a full weekend immersion into folk, roots, and acoustic music spanning countless traditions and styles. With more than 300 musicians performing across the weekend, the diversity of programming is staggering: traditional folk ballads, contemporary singer-songwriters, bluegrass, blues, world music traditions, children's music, and countless hybrid styles reflecting folk music's evolution.
